PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION NOTICE
Pursuant to your engagement of the legal services of Ong Eu Jin Partnership (“OEJP”), we will be processing the following personal data as provided by you and/or a service provider engaged by OEJP and/or obtained from the public domain, which may include, but is not limited to personal date that relates to:
- Your identity (including your name and NRIC number / passport number);
- Your contact information (including your telephone numbers, email and mailing address);
- Your occupation and job designation;
- Your bank account details; and
- All other information required for the provisioning of our legal services.
We will process your personal data for the following purposes:
- To facilitate the provisioning of our legal services to you, including the preparation of all necessary documentation;
- For insurance purposes;
- For financial purposes, including payment for OEJP’s services (and all transactions related thereto), accounting and tax;
- For administrative purposes;
- To comply with legal and statutory requirements;
- For contact purposes;
- For security and access within OEJP’s offices and premises;
- To investigate complaints and suspected suspicious transactions; and
- For historical and statistical record keeping purposes.
Your information is necessary to us. If you do not provide all the information as requested, we will not be able to keep your complete record of information, thus affecting our ability to accomplish the above stated purposes.
Disclosure of personal data
OEJP may disclose your personal data to the following parties (including thereto overseas):
- Agents and service providers who provide services relating to the purposes for which the personal data is collected, including data processing services;
- Any person who is under a duty of confidentiality, who has undertaken the responsibility to keep your data confidential; and
- Other parties, in respect of whom you have consented to the disclosure of your personal data.
We do not disclose your personal data to unaffiliated third parties without your consent. However, we may disclose your personal data in good faith, if such action is necessary to comply with any government or law enforcement agency requirements, court orders or legal processes, or if required by law.
